Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and approximately 120 staff members
- Unit staffed with charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
- Uses Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- EMR systems include Cerner and Fetal Ink
- 13-week night shift assignment from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Floating required to MFMU/MOMB/NICU units
- Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN intermediate or advanced, or NCCEFM)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- High-risk L&D experience required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- Circulating experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Best fit candidates are outgoing, friendly, and adaptable
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
