Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes a mix of medical patients across specialties: ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients (GI, urology, gynecological procedures)
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 or 48-hour workweeks available
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights; may flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA); pending certification accepted if candidate is willing to obtain prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred
Additional Information
- Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation
- Collaborative team environment working alongside RNs, LPNs, and patient care techs
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate
