Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a 733-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus locations
• Charts in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for the travel position

Additional Information

• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO requests are subject to manager approval, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• First-time travelers may be considered at the manager's discretion based on years of experience
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months before returning
• 13-week contract
