Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a 733-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
- Patient ratio of 1:2–3
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus locations
- Charts in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for the travel position
Additional Information
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (approximately 4–10 hours)
- RTO requests are subject to manager approval, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
- Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
- First-time travelers may be considered at the manager's discretion based on years of experience
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
- Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months before returning
