Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric patients, including ICU care
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirement
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting in Epic
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in an ICU setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active state or compact RT license required; pending licensure not accepted
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostics therapy services to adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Pre-start orientation modules required, estimated at 4–10 hours
• Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the manager's discretion
• Maximum of 4 days of RTO allowed per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
