Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a general sonography position in a freestanding emergency room setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Freestanding emergency room setting with a 16-bed ER
- General ultrasound/sonography unit
- Sonographer must be comfortable scanning neonates, infants, and pediatric patients for intussusception, pyloric stenosis, and appendicitis
- 3x12-hour shifts available on both day (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) rotations
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- No floating within the unit, but travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
- Epic EMR required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Experience scanning pediatric patients including neonates and infants is required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Travelers who refuse to float between facilities within the state may face termination of assignment
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- 10-week contract
