Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 6 months of recent acute care OT experience and active KS licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Occupational Therapy department
• High-volume unit with approximately 250 active consults per day
• 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio
• Typical patient assignment of 8-10 patients per OTR per day
• General acute care DME equipment used
• Meditech EMR system used
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active KS OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 6 months of recent acute care hospital OT experience
• BLS certification required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Comprehensive stroke experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Work within a large, collaborative therapy team in a complex acute care environment
• Enjoy a high degree of autonomy in care planning while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and high accountability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required
• Flexibility needed given the dynamic nature of acute care practice
