Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with at least 1 year of hospital-based respiratory experience for a night shift travel assignment in Colorado.

- Night shift schedule
- 13-week contract
- Cardiopulmonary/Respiratory Therapy department
- Patient population spans multiple specialties including neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care
- Responsibilities include mechanical ventilation management, arterial blood gas draws, airway management, and medication administration across patient age groups
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
- Graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program
- RRT or CRT credential (NBRC)
- Active state license required if applicable
- Current certifications: BLS/BCLS and NRP
- Pulmonary diagnostics experience preferred
- Cardiac diagnostics experience (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) preferred
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory care as ordered, with emphasis on emergency, neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care specialty areas
- Perform airway management including bag/mask ventilation, suction techniques, and artificial airway use; assist with intubations
- Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator patients; interpret flow volume and pressure volume curves to guide clinical changes
- Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures
- Assist in orientation and training of new employees and respiratory/nursing students
- Maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care procedures and patient charge reconciliation
- Participate in department in-services, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings
- Adhere to facility dress code and infection control, safety, and risk management policies
