Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, featuring 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, OB-GYN surgical, and post-op/pre-op cases
- Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
- Special procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries; experience with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery
- Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff of any Providence Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; limited time-off requests may be considered
- Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
