Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification to work in a Level I trauma center CT department on a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Work in a Level I trauma center, Stroke Accredited facility serving a diverse community across outpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
- CT department handles emergent inpatient and ER cases in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion CT imaging
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with every 3rd weekend shift running 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM (Sat/Sun)
- On-call rotation one day every 10 weeks, with availability required within one hour of being called
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required; license required if applicable
- ARRT Advanced certification preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment including ER and emergent inpatient settings
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts and participate in on-call rotation
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a broad range of procedure types including brain perfusion and musculoskeletal studies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards
- All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as possible after booking; candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location, and those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract; RTO is limited to 7 days or fewer
- Parking is available on-site through CampusParc with multiple permit options at the candidate's expense

Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
