Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown position in Texas, requiring at least 3 years of experience with cardiovascular and vascular expertise including HFNC, BiPAP, and drip management.

Details

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post-op CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA, as well as NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, sepsis, GIB, post-DKA, respiratory failure, and trach patients
• Specialized skills include HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, and temporary pacer management
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Floating required between the Critical Care service line
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Cardiovascular and vascular nursing experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for a complex cardiovascular and vascular patient population including post-surgical and acute cardiac cases
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
