Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, supporting IR and vascular surgery in a multi-room suite setting.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit with 1 IR suite, 1 OR hybrid room, and 1 multi-purpose room supporting IR and vascular surgeons
- Patient population includes adults through geriatrics
- Average daily census of 15–20 patients
- Procedures require scrubbing and circulating a wide range of IR cases
- Equipment includes Philips Flex Arm C-Arm and Siemens Artis Pheno C-Arm
- EMR: Epic; Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Weekend call coverage required Friday night through Monday morning every 5th–6th weekend
- Floating within the facility within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- Experience scrubbing and circulating a wide range of IR procedures
- Proficiency with C-Arm equipment, specifically Philips Flex Arm and Siemens Artis Pheno preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- No alternate shift or scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Candidates undergo a clinical screening review prior to manager consideration
