Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position at an academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring Impella and IABP experience with a minimum of 2 years of ICU background.
Details
- Position is in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a 356-bed non-profit, academic, and research medical center in St. Louis, MO
- Tertiary care facility affiliated with a medical school and part of a larger regional health system
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating is required within scope to ICU, TCU, and all care areas for ICU/TCU patients, including ED admit holds
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or ICU nursing experience required
- Impella and IABP experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Complimentary onsite parking available in an on-site garage
- Candidates must be willing to undergo a fit test for a standard respirator mask; the facility does not provide or permit CAPRs or PAPRs for travelers, and there are no exceptions
- Candidates may be required to shave facial hair to ensure a proper mask seal for fit testing
- Any RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; additional requests after confirmation are at the manager's discretion
- Pending MO license acceptance is at the manager's discretion
