Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Medical ICU (MICU) unit
• Average patient ratio of 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Floating required to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting performed in Epic
• Parking available at a cost of $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
