Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, with night shift availability and on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Works in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 6 LDR rooms, 10 postpartum beds (2 of which can swing to LDR), 2 ORs, an OB Emergency Department (OBED), and 6 Special Care Nursery (SCN) beds
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, as well as C-section cases managed by OBs and CNMs
• Higher-risk patients include those on magnesium sulfate, preterm labor, and other complex OB conditions; SCN care provided up to 34 weeks gestation
• Patient ratios: 1:1–1:2 for labor patients; 1:3 for couplet care
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), any day of the week
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call required, approximately 1–3 shifts per 6-week period
• Floating required to other OB units within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting is done in Epic

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and C-EFM (C-EFM is highly encouraged if not already held)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Provides comprehensive OB nursing care including labor support, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and special care nursery (up to 34 weeks)

• Green scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is capped at 10 days for the assignment; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, July 4th holiday window, September 2–12, and October 25–November 4
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible for a different pay rate
