Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position in Massachusetts, requiring a permanent MA RN license and telemetry reading ability.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs, though this occurs very rarely
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring required

Requirements

• Active, permanent MA RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Ability to read telemetry strips required
• 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each allows only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided prior to and during orientation to help candidates prepare for required exams
• Candidates with any prior disciplinary action on their nursing license are not eligible for this position
