Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP position at a short-term acute care, Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of LDRP experience and NRP certification.

Details

• LDRP unit within a 167-bed short-term acute care, Level III trauma center and teaching hospital
• Cares for low to moderate risk laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients, as well as newborns
• Includes triage responsibilities in 2 dedicated triage rooms, with Medical Screening Exams (MSEs) performed
• Nurses circulate and recover their own C-sections from the facility's OR suite and private rooms
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a (3x12s), with 4x12 option also available
• Weekend work required
• Floating within the hospital is required; floating to sister hospitals is not required
• No on-call requirements
• Contract lengths of 13, 16, 18, or 20 weeks are available

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Must be skilled in IV placement, patient triage, OR circulating, and newborn transitions
• Must be comfortable initiating NRP for low to moderate risk deliveries, including starting CPAP and PPV independently until additional support arrives
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
• COVID vaccination documentation required; no exemptions accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• Scrubs are provided for OR cases; no printed scrubs permitted

• RTO is limited to 1 week maximum and must be disclosed upfront
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
• Candidates who were previously employed at or traveled to this health system must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
