Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position in Northern Nevada, requiring 2+ years of acute care Med/Tele experience and an active NV RN license.

• 13-week contract position in an acute care hospital setting
• Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Telemetry patient population

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CPI certification required for this position
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification mandated
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Minimum 2 years of full-time Med/Surg Tele experience in an acute care setting within a US hospital
• US Social Security Number required
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Delivers age-appropriate, competent care to patients across the lifespan
• Completes admission assessments within facility-established timeframes per policy and procedure
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments required by the facility
• Certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
