Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a high-volume ED with a night shift schedule and every other weekend requirement.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with a high volume of behavioral health patients
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EHR: Cerner

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued
• TNCC required (renewed every 4 years)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years)
• CPI/MOAB High-Risk training required: online portion (CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course) must be completed prior to start
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Blue scrubs required
• On-site portion of CPI/MOAB High-Risk training will be completed during orientation
• Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, a radius rule applies and may affect the pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• Nursys license verification and primary source license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to assignment start
