Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist for an 8-week inpatient rehab assignment in Overland Park, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient Occupational Therapy setting within a hospital environment
- Float position covering all inpatient units, including acute care and rehabilitation
- Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
- Weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
- Patient ratios of 8–10 acute care patients or 4 rehab patients
- No on-call requirements
- Equipment includes Hoyer lifts, EZ Stands, BITS, Xcite, Barihab, and BURT devices
- EMR: Meditech
- 8-week contract
Requirements
- Active OT license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (candidates from Missouri require two references)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Conduct OT evaluations and deliver individualized OT treatments across inpatient units
- Work alongside a team of 11–12 OTs scheduled per day
- Growing inpatient rehab unit with a collaborative OT/PT team culture
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is expected
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
