Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 3 years of experience for a travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a 672-bed Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital
- Echo/Cardiac Sonography unit performing 75–100 inpatient and outpatient echos per day
- Inpatient and ER experience required; outpatient, teaching hospital, PICU, neonate, and NICU experience preferred
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekends required depending on schedule
- Occasional on-call shifts may be required
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities is required
- Charting performed in Epic/Excellian; experience required
- Grey scrubs required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer experience required
- Current BLS and RDCS (Adults) required; RDCS (Pediatrics) preferred
- License required if applicable; pending state license accepted
- Proficiency with portables and Syngo required
- IV starts, PACS, and biopsy experience preferred
- Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment preferred
- Echo procedure experience required: 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharm Stress Echo, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
- Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
- 1 supervisor reference minimum required for consideration
- All required certifications, including license verification, must be submitted for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible
- RTO requests of no more than 5 days are preferred
- Pre-start online modules are required before the first day of the assignment
- This facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or for candidates who previously worked as permanent employees
