Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Observation/Med-Surg position at a Level I Trauma Center, with telemetry capability and a minimum of 1 year of experience required.
Details
- 30-bed Observation and Medical-Surgical unit with telemetry capability at a Level I Trauma Center
- Diverse patient population spanning all ages
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Unit is supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
- Night shift: 18:30–07:00
- Up to 6 weekend shifts required per 13-week contract, based on department needs
- Holiday coverage required based on department needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or Oklahoma state license) currently in hand
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Current BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Valid driver's license required
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and managing discharge planning
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
- Standard Precautions and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
