Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Beckley, WV, requiring at least one year of endoscopy experience and AHA certifications.
Details
- GI/Endoscopy unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 4-bed endoscopy unit
- Common procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements
- Day shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- On-call as needed
- Floating required on an as-needed basis
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Active WV RN license or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy nursing experience required
- Experience with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Joint Commission-accredited hospital with a Level 3 trauma designation
- Orientation is held biweekly on Wednesdays
- Navy blue scrubs required; hospital OR scrubs are also acceptable
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- 13-week contract
