Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit (East Tower, Floor 9) with 27 beds
• Patient population includes orthopedic surgery, MSK infections, and orthopedic trauma
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30) on weekdays with some weekends required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate-level care

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with IV insertion, telemetry, and intermediate-level nursing skills
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former facility employees are eligible to apply once they have been away from the facility for at least 6 months
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and must not exceed 7 days for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting an offer; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
