Description
American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Sonographer with at least 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience and RVT or RVS certification for a 13-week travel contract in a cardiology vascular laboratory setting.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient vascular clinic serving patients of all ages
- Cardiology - Vascular Laboratory unit
- Patient population includes diagnoses such as PVD, CAD, HF, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, and TOS
- Daily caseload of 8–12 RVT/RVS studies per day
- Procedures include carotid studies, upper/lower arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux, vein mapping, renal/mesenteric/AAA/endograft/aorta imaging, upper/lower PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis grafts, iliac veins, and arterial bypass grafts (fem-fem, fem-pop, loop grafts, etc.)
- Equipment includes Philips Epic Elite and Parks PVR/Segmental Pressures machines; VascuPro used for reporting
- Epic EMR — experience required
- 4x8-hour day shifts (Mon–Wed and Fri), 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 32 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- May float to a High Point outpatient-only vascular lab as needed
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- ARDMS RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or CCI RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency in carotid, upper/lower arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aorta, PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis grafts, iliac veins, and arterial bypass grafts
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
- 3-day departmental orientation provided
- Black scrubs required
