Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MI RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience, working 12-hour night shifts.

• Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital environment
• 12-hour night shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Minimum 2 years of experience required for this role

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Current PALS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
• Workplace Violence Prevention (BVP/DCI) training required — completable via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, a similar platform, or the free CDC resource
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
• Must be capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandated reporting of child/adult abuse required
• Directs and guides patient and family teaching as well as activities of other nursing personnel
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
