Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab position in Fort Worth, TX, working night shifts with a rotating weekend schedule.
Details
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (3E) in a hospital setting
- 18-bed unit staffed by RNs and PCTs
- Patient population includes neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult patients
- Patient ratio of 5-6:1
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to medical-surgical units on a rotational basis as needed
- Charting via Meditech (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient rehab RN experience
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital nursing — med-surg, stepdown/critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation
- Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills
- Willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation
- Strong attention to detail and receptiveness to coaching on documentation requirements
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Procedures performed on the unit include indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, and suture/staple removal
- Real-time training resources are provided for rehabilitation-specific documentation
- Scrub color: Royal Blue tops and pants in good condition with no fading or outside facility logos
- Scrub caps must be free of logos (sports teams, colleges, corporate logos, etc.)
- No artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails permitted; nails must be clean and natural
- Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; facial hair must be neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
- Compliant wear of facility-issued PPE, including N95s and face shields, is required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
