Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in New Jersey, requiring at least 1 year of ED, Critical Care, or Cardiac experience along with active BLS, ACLS, and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) in a hospital setting
• 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM shift (day/evening hours)
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license with NJ privilege) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS required for pediatric ER assignments
• Minimum 1 year of ED, Critical Care, or Cardiac nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments across the full age spectrum, from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Delivers direct patient care and demonstrates proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures
• Responsible for thorough and accurate nursing documentation, including patient education and progress notes
• Maintains compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Travelers are eligible for assignments up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break is required before returning
