Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 16-bed adult ICU within a hospital setting
• Manages critical illness including ventilator patients and post-operative cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Average length of stay is 3–7 days
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage may be required based on unit need
• Can be placed on standby call once per pay period

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI-B certification required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as part of the patient care plan
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support discharge planning for complex patients
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development opportunities
• Clinical ladder and professional development opportunities available
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Background check and drug screen required; candidates should report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
