Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT registration in Radiology and Mammography to support the women's health imaging section of a healthcare facility.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging setting within the women's health section of a radiology department
• Performs mammography exams and may assist with other imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and DEXA
• Day shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• State license required if applicable
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for the daily operation of the women's health section of radiology, including QA, preventative maintenance scheduling, and accreditation record-keeping
• Performs exams per imaging department protocols or in coordination with the radiologist, adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards
• Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including charge capture and supply documentation
• May assist in other modalities, clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
• Assists with training and cross-training of imaging staff members
• Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
• Two or more years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, and DEXA are preferred
• This is a Rapid Response/Crisis position
