Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with night shift availability and EKG testing prior to start.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; team nursing model may be used with greater ratios
• Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) required
• Floating within the facility is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN or Compact state license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must be able to pass an EKG competency test prior to start date

Additional Information

• Orientation is conducted bi-weekly
• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are eligible but at a reduced pay rate
• RTO will not be accommodated during holidays or holiday weeks, including: Valentine's Day, Local Spring Break, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Local Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day — holiday RTO requests may be addressed directly with the manager after arriving onsite
