Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and active SC or compact RN licensure.

• Hospital Med/Surg unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a U.S. hospital required, with at least 2 years specifically in Med/Surg
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Delivers age-appropriate care across the lifespan and interprets patient information to determine nursing needs
• Completes admission assessments within facility-established timeframes per policy and procedure
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration
