Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level II Trauma Center hospital, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Surgical ICU (SICU) of a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CT RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of SICU or relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required (religious/medical exemptions considered)
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the contract
• 13-week contract
