Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in vascular and general ultrasound for a 12-week night shift contract.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a Vascular Ultrasound unit
- 4x10-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM
- On-call requirements include one day per week and one weekend per month as needed
- Weekends are included in call rotation
- May be required to float within facility scope of practice and to an additional affiliated hospital campus as needed
- 12-week contract assignment
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of vascular and general ultrasound experience required
- Active professional licensure required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must be available for two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week start date pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
