Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology unit, requiring chemotherapy certification and a valid MO or compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Medical Surgical Oncology unit in an academic hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- Shifts scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Floating to other Med/Surg units is required
- Every other weekend (EOW) work is required
- Coverage required for 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy (chemo) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience and 1 year of Med/Surg Oncology experience required
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced pay rate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the full travel pay rate
- Role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- Holiday coverage is required for assigned holidays throughout the contract period
