Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Greeley, CO, requiring 2 years of acute care experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a 36-bed hospital setting
• Patient population includes general acute care, overflow surgical, renal, cardiac, diabetic, and inpatient hospice patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–1:6, with the potential to flex up based on staffing and unit needs
• Charting performed in Epic
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30, various days of the week
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend coverage based on unit needs
• Floating required within scope to like units and potentially to sister facilities, including Medical Center of Rockies, Poudre Valley, and Harmony locations; travelers are notified in advance
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment required
• Comfort and prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the acute care experience requirement
• Navy scrubs required
• Up to 10 RTO days may be approved for the contract; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, September 2–12, and October 25–November 4
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a local pay rate
