Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a SC or compact license, ACLS, and the ability to pass on-site cardiac and medication testing.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call or additional shifts required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required; pending license will be considered if obtained before start date
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Must be able to pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Shaving may be required on-site to pass respiratory fit testing requirements
• An attendance policy is in effect: missing more than two shifts during the 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review and potential cancellation
