Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hospital setting experience.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located in the main hospital building in Richmond, VA
- 44-bed rehab unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Unit staffed with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-ed, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-ed, self-care, and functional e-stim
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating weekends
- May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hospital setting experience required, with inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Recent active experience in occupational therapy within the last 6 months required
- Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
- Active OT license required where applicable
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
- AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected
- Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
