Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience including Trauma Level I, surgical, and neurological ICU care, with Epic proficiency required.

Details

• Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) in an acute hospital setting
• Patient population includes trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA or RQI certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU staff experience required, specifically with trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission; candidates have 2 attempts to pass
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be noted at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed
