Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist requiring ARDMS OB/GYN certification and 1+ year of dedicated OB experience.

Details

  • Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic setting focused on high-risk OB and obstetrics patients
  • Adult patient population
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Weekend shifts may be required based on staffing needs
  • May require floating to another clinic location approximately six miles away
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Uses Siemens ultrasound equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year OB ultrasound experience required (hard requirement)
  • ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Detailed fetal anatomy scan experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning
  • Proficiency in fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screening, and amniotic fluid index assessment
  • Experience with multiple pregnancy, placenta previa, and umbilical cord Doppler studies
  • Skilled in fetal measurements including abdominal circumference, bone lengths, and cerebellum/ventricles assessment

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive maternal fetal medicine ultrasound exams including fetal anatomical surveys and Doppler studies
  • Conduct portable ultrasound procedures as needed
  • Must float within scope of practice as required by facility policy
  • Maximum of 40 hours RTO approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
  • Any planned vacation between sign date and start date must be disclosed to determine appropriate start date
  • Travelers with prior UVA Health employment as permanent staff or internal/external travelers must disclose this for eligibility review
  • External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
  • Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation period
