Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CCU Coronary Care Unit position requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Position is located in the CCU Coronary Care Unit of an acute care hospital in Wichita, KS
• 26-bed unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Specialized equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia equipment
• Typical procedures include heart catheterizations, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
• EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred but not required
• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
