Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU/ICU) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
Details
- Work in a 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a large acute care hospital setting
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia therapy
- Procedures include heart catheterizations, cardioversion, central line management, and medication drips
- EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
- Night shift schedule: 7P–7A
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Active KS RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Prior Meditech experience is preferred
- Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
