Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Urology/Gynecology OR position at a major academic health system in Jacksonville, FL, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Urology/Gynecology Surgical OR unit within a large academic health system in Jacksonville, FL
- On-site position with direct patient access — no telework
- Monday–Friday schedule, 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- On-call responsibilities required
- 40 hours per week
- Epic EMR used; prior experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience, with Urology/Gynecology experience specifically required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Associate degree RNs with an RN start date of April 1, 2020 or later must complete a BSN within 5 years of their RN start date
- COVID vaccination and booster required
- Two professional references required, including facility name, supervisor name, and supervisor phone number
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinates and delivers direct nursing care including patient/family education and care transitions
- Plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
- May serve in a preceptor or informal leadership role and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Delegates patient care tasks according to skill level, acuity, and available resources
- This role is eligible for TN visa sponsorship; F-1 OPT holders are welcome to apply, though STEM OPT extension is not supported — successful sponsorship requires state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification
