Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and hands-on GI Lab experience.

Details

Work in the Endoscopy unit of a 65-bed acute care hospital
Schedule is 4x9-hour shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, with 8 hours dedicated to procedures and the final hour supporting general department needs
Day shift hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Performs colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures
Uses Olympus scopes, ERBE equipment, polyp snares, and foreign body equipment
Administers opioid analgesics and reversal agents
Handles and labels specimen collection
Charting system: Cerner
Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

Active IL RN license currently in hand is required for consideration
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Experience in a GI Lab, outpatient surgery, or infusion setting required
Hands-on experience with Olympus scopes, ERBE, polyp snares, foreign body equipment, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents required
Cerner EMR experience required
Proficiency in colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures required

Additional Information

Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
Previous charge nurse experience is a plus
All time-off requests (RTO) must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview
Scrub color is flexible; however, tee shirts, sweatshirts, and clothing with logos from other organizations are not permitted
Block schedule may be accommodated — discuss availability during the interview process
