Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with a CA PT License and at least 1 year of Home Health PT experience.

Details

• Home Health setting with day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Caseload of approximately 4-5 patients per day (5 weighted visits per day)
• 13-week assignment length
• Any charting system accepted, though experience is preferred

Requirements

• CA PT License required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Home Health PT required
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
• BLS certification preferred
• Proficiency in home health assessment skills including AROM/AAROM/PROM, gait training, and vital sign monitoring
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations
• Documentation experience including OASIS, Plan of Care, and RUG Levels preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention instruction
• Treats a range of conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurologic disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation
• Familiarity with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, sliding boards, and wheelchairs is beneficial
• Accepts local candidates at a local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Compliance labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
