Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/CCU position in the Denver, CO area, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience along with ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
Details
- ICU/CCU unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building of a hospital in the Denver, CO area
- 16-bed unit with a staff of approximately 60
- 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Medical ICU and neuro patient population
- Common procedures include intubations and central line placement
- Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps
- EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
- Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- PCT support available for census greater than 14 patients
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required
- A minimum of 2 years of total clinical experience is required for this facility
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Experience with medical ICU and neuro patient populations is preferred
- Prior Meditech experience is preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- AHA or ARC certifications are accepted
