Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/CCU position in the Denver, CO area, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience along with ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Details

• ICU/CCU unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building of a hospital in the Denver, CO area
• 16-bed unit with a staff of approximately 60
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Medical ICU and neuro patient population
• Common procedures include intubations and central line placement
• Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• PCT support available for census greater than 14 patients

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required
• A minimum of 2 years of total clinical experience is required for this facility
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Experience with medical ICU and neuro patient populations is preferred
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• AHA or ARC certifications are accepted
