Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a busy Florida hospital with a comprehensive structural heart program, requiring prior Cath Lab experience and the ability to take call.
Details
- Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab of a 204-bed acute care hospital on the 4th floor of the main building
- Unit consists of 2 cath lab rooms, 10 pre/post beds, and 6 holding beds
- Patient ratios are 1:1 in the lab, 2:1 in holding, and 4:1 in pre/post
- Common procedures include heart caths and interventions, peripheral caths and interventions, TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, pacemaker and ICD implants, EP studies and ablations, PFO and ASD closures, and carotid stents
- Equipment includes GE imaging, Volcano, Rotablator, AngioJet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, and Inari devices
- EMR: Cerner and Merge hemodynamic system
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis with hospital staff
- 12-week contract
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
- Must be able to take call
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required (Florida requirement)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Structural heart and EP lab experience are preferred and will be prioritized during candidate review
- The program is described as very dynamic and advanced, performing all structural heart procedures
- The facility is expanding its cardiac program with residents and cardiac fellows
- RN scrub color is Navy Blue
- Local candidates are not accepted — no exceptions
