Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience for a position covering West Portland, OR and surrounding areas.

Details

  • Home health setting serving West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
  • Day shift, 5x8 schedule (8:00–16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
  • 1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patient visits per day and a standard productivity expectation of 30 points per day
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
  • Charting is performed using Epic Remote Client on a laptop and the Rover phone app; OASIS documentation is required
  • Personal vehicle and valid driver's license required for travel between patient homes; daily drive time typically within 60–90 minutes total

Requirements

  • Active Oregon OT license required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
  • OASIS experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Primary COVID-19 vaccine series plus one booster required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within a 50–75 mile radius of the facility are considered local and are eligible at the same pay rate
  • Former permanent employees of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
  • Minimal RTO is expected for this position; a small number of days may be approved
  • Business casual attire required; scrubs are permitted but no specific color is mandated, and jeans are not allowed
  • Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate; parking is free
  • The facility's scheduling system groups patient visits to minimize drive and windshield time
