Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience for a position covering West Portland, OR and surrounding areas.
Details
- Home health setting serving West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule (8:00–16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
- 1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patient visits per day and a standard productivity expectation of 30 points per day
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Charting is performed using Epic Remote Client on a laptop and the Rover phone app; OASIS documentation is required
- Personal vehicle and valid driver's license required for travel between patient homes; daily drive time typically within 60–90 minutes total
Requirements
- Active Oregon OT license required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
- OASIS experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Primary COVID-19 vaccine series plus one booster required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within a 50–75 mile radius of the facility are considered local and are eligible at the same pay rate
- Former permanent employees of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position; a small number of days may be approved
- Business casual attire required; scrubs are permitted but no specific color is mandated, and jeans are not allowed
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate; parking is free
- The facility's scheduling system groups patient visits to minimize drive and windshield time
