Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) night shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2+ years of CV/surgical stepdown experience and current ACLS certification.
Details
- Position is in the Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) of a hospital setting in Indianapolis, IN
- 23-bed unit serving cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patient populations
- Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)
- Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 1900–0730)
- Holiday rotation required
- EMR: Epic
- Floating may be required to other stepdown/PCU units
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Active US SSN required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery stepdown/progressive care setting
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- EKG testing is required as part of the candidate evaluation process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts — if failed, reapplication to this facility is permitted after 30 days
- Navy scrubs required
- Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply
