Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Magnet, teaching hospital requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills including PA catheter interpretation.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting in a 672-bed Magnet, teaching, Level III Trauma facility
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) with floating expected throughout the ICU community, including Med/Surg ICU and Neuro ICU
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting via Epic/Excellian (experience required)
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Parking available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- PA catheter interpretation and analysis required
- Experience with LVAD, RVAD, and Impella required
- Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) required
- Experience with CRRT required
- Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring required
- Open heart recovery directly from the OR strongly preferred
- Experience with CRRT via Prismaflex and ECMO preferred
- At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Specialized equipment and procedures include: Targeted Temperature Management, Temporary Pacemakers, Bedside Trachs and PEGs, Endotool for Glucose Monitoring, Prisma Flex, Heart Mate 2 & 3, Centra Mag, Impella, and Balloon Pump
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day of work
- Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift before being eligible
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
