Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology unit position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring active chemotherapy certification and Epic experience.

Details

  • Oncology unit within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 0700–1930
  • Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
  • Charting system: Epic (experience required)
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Level II Trauma Center or equivalent acute care hospital experience required
  • No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license

Additional Information

  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Orientation begins virtually on Friday; first onsite day is the following Monday
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
  • Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
