Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Oncology unit position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring active chemotherapy certification and Epic experience.
Details
- Oncology unit within a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 0700–1930
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
- Current certifications required: BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level II Trauma Center or equivalent acute care hospital experience required
- No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
Additional Information
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Orientation begins virtually on Friday; first onsite day is the following Monday
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
